Blackstone-backed Superbet acquires Lucky 7
Blackstone-backed Superbet has acquired a 60% stake in online casino Lucky 7.
Superbet made an initial investment in Lucky 7 in its startup phase early last year, Focus Gaming News reported.
In May 2019, Blackstone Group acquired a minority stake through its Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Fund I in Superbet, a Romania-based company engaged in providing sports betting and gaming services, for a cash consideration of €175m.
Company
Founded by Olof Orn, Karl Ahlberg and Magnus Petersson, Lucky7 launched in 2019 in Malta. The company operates a number of online casino brands across multiple markets in Europe and the Americas. It posted a turnover of €17m in the second quarter of 2020.
