
Enterprise Investors divests Sklepy Komfort
Enterprise Investors (EI) has sold Polish flooring retail chain Sklepy Komfort to Barcocapital Investment, controlled by Polish entrepreneur Michal Solowow.
The company was previously held by EI vehicles Polish Enterprise Fund V, which closed on €300m in 2004, and Polish Enterprise Fund VI, a €650m buyout fund that closed in 2006.
The deal is subject to the approval of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland.
Previous funding
In 2007, EI wholly acquired Sklepy Komfort for €64m. The firm then acquired its rival, Topwert Oewiat Dywanow, in a €3.2m bolt-on the same year.
Company
Sklepy Komfort is a chain of flooring shops in Poland. Stores sell wall-to-wall carpets, rugs, laminate and hardwood flooring as well as other interior design products. The company was established in the early 1990s and was originally based in Szczecin.
Sklepy Komfort has 100 stores throughout Poland and is now headquartered in Lodz.
