Abris divests Siodemka to DPD
Abris Capital Partners has completed its second exit through the sale of Polish delivery company Siodemka to trade buyer DPD Polska.
Despite having only held the company for three years, Abris began the divestment process for Siodemka towards the end of 2013 by running a dual-track process. A public listing of the company on the Warsaw Stock Exchange was considered, but the company was eventually sold to its main competitor, DPD Polska, which is owned by GeoPost.
The deal follows Abris's flotation of portfolio company Masterlease Polska on the Warsaw Stock Exchange last week.
Under Abris's stewardship, Siodemka's main strategy for growth was to focus on developing its technology at both the front and back ends of the business. The company developed its e-commerce capabilities to make its service more user-friendly, and enhanced its use of GPS tracking systems so that parcels could be tracked in real time.

Founded in 1998, Siodemka is a Polish delivery company serving 60,000 customers across its 40 offices. The business processes more than 2.5 million shipments each month.
In 2012, Siodemka generated net profit of PLN 15.5m on sales of PLN 305m.
