Almaz et al. invest $2m in CarPrice
Almaz Capital, Fastlane Ventures and e.ventures have taken part in a $2m seed round for CarPrice.ru, a Russian buyer of used cars.
The lead investors were accompanied by several Russian and foreign funds, as well as founder Oskar Hartmann.
CarPrice will use the funds to expand its network of car dealers in Moscow, St Petersburg and other Russian cities. The company plans to open four new offices in Moscow by the end of the year.
Company
Founded in July this year and headquartered in Moscow, CarPrice is a used-car-buying service for the Russian market.
The company offers customers a free estimate of a car and free diagnostics, and claims to guarantee the purchase of a car within 30 minutes.
CarPrice claims to have a network of 400 car dealers and to have already served 160,000 customers since its establishment in the summer.
