
Hannover Finanz announces CEO appointment

German Mittelstand-focused buyout house Hannover Finanz has promoted its board member Goetz Hertz-Eichenrode to CEO, starting in November 2017.
The firm's current CEO, Andreas Schober, will depart after 29 years at the firm, including 21 years on the board and eight as CEO.
At Hannover Finanz, Schober recently worked on several exits, including ultra-high-frequency sensor manufacturer Astyx in March 2017, as well as nanofabrication systems producer Raith in 2016 and Eschenbach Optik in 2007.
Goetz Hertz-Eichenrode, the son of the GP's founder Albrecht Hertz-Eichenrode, joined the firm in 2001 and became member of the board in 2009. Between 2007-2009, he also worked at the Nuremberg-based real estate asset management firm Alpha Gruppe. Hertz-Eichenrode joined Hannover Finanz from Deloitte & Touche.
In 2016, he worked on several transactions on behalf of Hannover Finanz, including the buyouts of Mannheim-based hotel manager Achat Hotels, meat distributor Schiller Fleisch and building material producers Moeschter Group.
Founded in 1979, Hannover Finanz currently manages six evergreen funds. According to a statement, the GP currently has 37 assets under management, which posted an aggregate €348m in revenues in 2016.
In 2016, the GP deployed €67m across three acquisition, while it reaped €117m from five exits.
