Former KKR director Preuss joins ICG
Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has continued to bolster its presence in the DACH region with the appointment of Martin Preuss as managing director in the firm's European subordinated debt and equity team, based in Frankfurt.
Preuss joins ICG from KKR, where he spent 11 years in the firm's German and European private equity team specialising in technology, media and telecommunications deals. He previously worked as an analyst for four years.
The news follows ICG's appointment of investor relations specialist Julia Beinker earlier this month; she joined the firm to expand its client base in Austria and Germany. ICG also added senior hire Klaus Mauerer in July to build out its German mid-market origination capabilities.
Unquote previously reported that ICG's client base in Germany and Austria has grown substantially, with assets under management rising by more than 60% in the past two years.
ICG has also recently expanded its London-based team with the appointment of Alan Ross to serve as managing director in the special situations investment team.
Some of the organisation's previous commitments to private equity include Bridgepoint Europe V and Bowmark Capital Partners V.
