
Equitrust sells telerob for €78m
Equitrust AG has sold its majority stake in German bomb disposal technology company telerob to UK corporation Cobham.
The transaction values the company at around €78m - according to media reports, that would be almost ten times what Equitrust paid for its stake in 2007.
Ostfildern-based telerob manufactures medium and heavy-weight Explosive Ordnance Device (EOD) robots and response vehicles designed to deal with nuclear, biological and chemical threats.
Targeting primarily homeland security markets, telerob employs 80 people and generates revenues of approximately €40m.
