WHEB Ventures invests €4.4m in VIA Optronics
Cleantech-focused WHEB Ventures has backed German company VIA Optronics with тЌ4.4m.
WHEB is joining existing shareholder BayBG. The firm has recently closed its second cleantech fund on £105m, short of the initial £150m target.
VIA Optronics supplies energy saving LCD displays for products such as handheld devices, laptops, televisions, and industrial electronics. The company claims its products use less energy to achieve equivalent brightness than providers of untreated displays, thereby extending the lifetime of devices and reducing energy waste.
