
Lazard hires Anchorage's Christian Fritsch

Global investment bank Lazard has appointed Christian Fritsch as new managing director and head of restructuring at its German office.
Fritsch will take up his new position at the Frankfurt office on 1 December. He will work closely with Raj Apte to co-lead the bank's restructuring activities in Germany.
Fritsch previously worked for Anchorage Capital from 2010 onwards, where he was a managing director for the firm's German activities.
Prior to his time at Anchorage, Fritsch worked at Cerberus Capital Management for six years, focusing on private equity and distressed debt.
From 2000 until 2003, Fritsch was investment director at Syntek Capital. He also worked as investment manager at Doughty Hanson from 1997 to 2000. Fritsch started his career when joining Merrill Lynch as financial analyst for two years in 1995.
He holds an MBA in business, investment and strategy from the University of Passau.
