3i to sell German MWM and Norma Group
3i is reportedly working on plans to sell two German portfolio companies, MWM and Norma Group, whose collective value has been estimated to be in excess of €1bn.
The UK private equity group is understood to be planning an initial public offering of metal and plastic engineered joining products manufacturer, Norma Group and has mandated Rothschild to work on the deal. The company is estimated to have an enterprise value of about €700m.
Gas and diesel engines manufacturer MWM on the other hand is set to be sold to private investors through an auction process managed by Credit Suisse, with the company estimated to have an enterprise value of €500m.
