Metric and ICS in talks to take HTI private
Private equity houses Metric Capital Partners and ICS Partners have entered talks with Austrian engineering business HTI High Tech Industries to take the business private.
After having experienced a slump in revenues and currently going through a restructuring process, HTI is now looking for external investors, with Metric and ICS aiming to become HTI's sole shareholders, according to broadsheet Wirtschaftsblatt.
HTI plans to write down its equity before increasing its share capital through a restructuring process. The two GPs then aim to become HTI's majority shareholders without a public tender offer, squeezing out other shareholders and delisting the company.
HTI listed on the mid-market auction segment of the Vienna Stock Exchange in 2012.
The firm's turnover fell 7.6% between H1 2011 and H1 2012, from €105.2m to €97.8m.
