T-Venture backs FutureE
T-Venture, the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom, Entrepreneurs Fund and KfW have backed energy system producer FutureE Fuel Cell Solutions with an undisclosed investment.
The investor was attracted to the company as fuel cells are a CO2-neutral form of alternative energy which offer independence from the impact of fluctuations in oil and electricity prices. The capital will be used to accelerate the market development and launch of the company's Jupiter fuel cell system and other technological developments.
FutureE was launched in 2006 and is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of fuel cell systems applied in fields such as telecommunication to provide uninterrupted power and meet peak load demands. The company's fuel cell systems can produce between 0.5 and 50 kW. The energy system provider is based in Nürtingen, Germany.
