Three new hires at Alvarez & Marsal
Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its Germany-based transaction advisory group with the hires of Andreas Schmitz, Frank Morris and René Grein.
Schmitz and Morris join as senior directors and Grein was hired as a director at the company's Frankfurt office, which opened last year.
In his new role, Schmitz will focus on transaction advisory services and will counsel private equity and corporate clients on domestic and cross-border buy-side and vendor due diligence, carve-out situations, and the preparation of closing accounts.
Schmitz moves to Alvarez & Marsal from Deloitte & Touche, where he had worked since 2006. Since 2011 he was the director of Deloitte's corporate finance transaction services team. In his role, he focused on cross-border M&A as well as buy- and sell-side due diligence for private equity and corporate clients.
Morris will advise corporate and investor clients on buy- and sell-side transactions and M&A related issues. He was also a director at Deloitte, where he led transaction advisory projects. He managed client accounts including Lindsay Goldberg Vogel, 3i Germany and Star Capital.
Prior to Deloitte, Morris was a manager at PwC in Düsseldorf and held the role of South East Asia regional head of finance for an international pharmaceutical company.
Grein was also formerly employed at Deloitte & Touche, where he advised on vendor due diligence and M&A. He led projects across the healthcare, chemicals, manufacturing, technology and media and telecommunications sectors.
Alvarez & Marsal provides business performance improvement, turnaround management and advisory services. The company has offices in Europe, Asia, the US and South America.
