Aurelius acquires LD Group out of insolvency

Industrial holding Aurelius AG has acquired LD Didactic Group, which manufactures scientific teaching equipment, from insolvency adviser Dr Joerg Nerlich.

LD Didactic Group is based in Hurth and is a supplier of natural sciences and technology teaching materials. Aurelius has acquired more than 20% of the group's shares, effective 31 December. LD consists of HL Hurther Lehrmittel GmbH, HL Hurther Mobiliar GmbH and subsidiaries and employs around 180 people. In 2008, the firm had a turnover of around EUR40m, but was loss-making.
