
Mantra invests in Arques
French firm Mantra is in the process of acquiring a significant minority stake in listed industrial holding Arques Industries and already holds about 3% of the firm. Arques has recently launched a programme to boost shareholder value, restructure its portfolio and improve the balance sheet.
Founded in 2007, Mantra's business model is to acquire stakes in listed private equity vehicle which are strongly undervalued due to special situations, ands to boost their value as an active investor. The firm is led by CEO Antoine Drean, also the founder, CEO and chairman of French Triago Group, which serves as placement agency for private equity firms.
