High-Tech Gründerfonds backs Scopis
High-Tech Gründerfonds has provided German medical-equipment designer Scopis with a round of early-stage funding.
Scopis hopes the new funds will allow for its first products to be completed, approved and launched as early as Q2 2011.
Scopis was established in July 2010 with support from Fraunhofer Venture. It designs, manufactures and distributes 3D measuring systems for various medical fields of application involving minimally invasive surgery.
Scopis's products aim to save time and cost in the operating theatre, reduce clinical complications, bring about better post-operative results and allow for easier documentation of interventions.
