CVC appoints Wolfgang Colberg as industrial partner

CVC Capital Partners has hired Wolfgang Colberg as industrial partner for its Frankfurt and Zurich offices.
Colberg joined CVC on 1 October. He works as a strategic adviser, mainly for CVC's Frankfurt and Zurich offices.
Colberg had been CFO at Evonik Industries, a portfolio company of CVC, since 2009. The GP acquired the diversified energy business in 2008 for €2.4bn.
The buyout house listed Evonik on the Frankfurt and Luxembourg stock markets in April this year, following three previous attempts to float the business.
Prior to this, Colberg worked at Robert Bosch for 15 years, holding various positions before becoming member of the board of management and CFO of BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte in 2001.
Colberg holds a PhD in economic and social science from the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel.
