DEWB has new major shareholder
Erster Privater Investmentclub Borsebius Zentral GbR is a new major shareholder in Deutsche Effecten- und Wechsel- Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG. The Cologne-based firm announced that it had bought an equity stake of 21.2%.
Borsebius holds that two of DEWB's portfolio companies have significant growth potential, namely KSW Microtec AG and NOXXON Pharma AG, which the new shareholder does not see reflected in DEWB's current stock-market valuation. Borsebius sees itself as a long term investor, with an investment horizon of eight years or more. This follows the withdrawal of previous major shareholder Jenoptik AG over the last years. Within the last week, Swiss investor Bluehill ID AG of St Gallen announced that it had increased its share in DEWB to more than 5%.
Borsebius Zentral, founded in January 2008, is an investment club devoted to long term securities savings on the part of its shareholders. The club currently manages assets of more than EUR100m and numbers several hundred members.
