
High-Tech Gründerfonds et al. invest €2m in Neonga
A consortium of private and institutional investors led by High-Tech Gründerfonds have invested €2m in German video games developer Neonga.
The round of financing will allow Neonga to strengthen its infrastructure, hire more staff, develop its range of games and invest in marketing in order to establish itself in the online games market. The company will launch its first titles at the start of 2011.
Founded in 2010, Berlin-based Neonga develops and publishes online games, with a particular focus on free-to-play massively multiplayer games. They will be offered as PC downloads, browser games, Facebook applications and mobile phone programs.
