
Barclays hires Nomura's Ulrich Böckmann

Barclays has appointed Ulrich Böckmann as managing director in charge of private equity in its Frankfurt office.
Böckmann joined Barclays on 1 October and is responsible for Barclays' private equity business in the DACH region.
He is based in the bank's Frankfurt office, where he is responsible for the coverage of financial sponsors and selected corporate clients in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Böckmann will report to co-CEOs Alexander Doll and Ralf Herfurth.
Prior to joining Barclays, Böckmann had been managing director at Nomura for the past five years, where he was responsible for financial sponsors as well as consumer and retail companies. Böckmann also worked for Lehman Brothers as executive director from 1997 to 2008.
