HTGF et al. in €2m evocatal series-B
Three years after receiving a round of seed finance, DУМsseldorf-based industrial biotech group evocatal GmbH has raised a тЌ2m round of early-stage funding.
The existing backers, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Sirius Seedfonds Düsseldorf and an angel investor, have reinvested as part of the round and been joined by a second private investor, Dr Roland Oetker.
evocatel GmbH, based at the Life Science Center Düsseldorf, is an industrial biotech business, focusing on the development and manufacture of biocatalysts and enzyme-based chemical processes. Its enzyme products are typically designed for use in the production of complex, low molecular weight compounds and fine chemicals for the pharmaceuticals industry. The company has also commercialised the first flourescent protein for anaerobic applications in biotech research and development.
