Capnamic in €2m series-A for Staffbase
German employee intranet app Staffbase has raised €2m from Capnamic Ventures and Kizoo Technology Ventures.
The startup aims to use the capital for US expansion, starting with an office in New York, and to boost its marketing and sales efforts.
Capnamic is a venture fund that focuses on digital media. Kizoo Technology Ventures is based in Berlin and backs early-stage rounds. Its sector focus is software-as-a-service, internet and mobile services, as well as social applications.

Founded in 2014 and based in Chemnitz, Staffbase is a German software-as-a-service developer for employee communication. It allows customers to set up their own employee app and is designed for companies, with a particular focus on communication between non-desk workers and those working from home.
Staffbase's customers include Heineken, Siemens, Viessmann and T-Systems MMS.
