Highland backs Juniqe's €14m series-B
Highland Capital Partners has led a €14m round for German art and deisgn marketplace Juniqe.
Existing backers Vorwerk Ventures, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Redalpine Capital also participated in the series-B.
The startup will use the funding to expand across Europe. It currently operates in Germany, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands. The money will also help expand the website's personalised shopping tool, with which customers can virtually test how the art would look on the walls in their home.
Juniqe claims to have grown by 500% in 2015 and hopes to triple its turnover in 2016.
Previous funding
Juniqe raised a €4m series-A from Redalpine, CEWE, HTGF and Vorwerk in May 2015. Redalpine also took the lead in Juniqe's €1.8m seed round in July 2014, alongside HTGF, CEWE and German Startups Group.
Company
Established in 2014, Juniqe is an e-commerce site that specialises in art prints, apparel and accessories. The company is based in Berlin and has 65 employees.
