Founders, Vækstfonden back €2m round for Kontist
Venture capital firm Founders and growth capital investor Vækstfonden, both from Denmark, have invested €2m in German fintech startup Kontist.
The funding will enable the company to bring its product to market. Its banking app is currently in the development stage, with a launch date scheduled in 2017.
Kontist is also cooperating with SolarisBank on offering business accounts to freelancers.
Finnish competitor Holvi, in which Speedinvest sold its stake to Spanish bank BBVA earlier this year, also offers business accounts.
Company
Founded in 2016 and based in Berlin, Kontist develops banking apps and offers business accounts to freelancers. Once launched, the startup's platforms will offer a range of services including mobile banking, push notifications surrounding account activity and automatic savings.
The startup has 12 employees.
