
Bayern Kapital and BayBG back Gastfreund
Bayern Kapital and BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft have backed German tourism app Gastfreund’s seven-digit series-A.
The startup, which mainly operates in the Alps area at the moment, hopes to use the fresh capital to expand to other regions.
BayBG stated it decided to back the business as it hopes Gastfreund will be able to expand quickly, with the potential to win international customers.

Founded in 2013 and based in Kempten, Gastfreund is an app that aims to bundle information such as hotel prices, menus and opening hours of local attractions in one place. Gastfreund has 60 employees and claims to have 2,500 customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Liechtenstein.
