IBB in €4.2m SearchInk round
IBB Berlin and business angels have backed a €4.2m seed round for German hand writing recognition software SearchInk.
IBB was joined by business angel Michael Schmitt, former engineering director at Google Switzerland, and other unnamed backers.
The capital will be used to further develop SearchInk's software. The company hopes to launch a new website and to announce a business partnership next year – the startup already collaborates with two Spanish universities for its self-learning algorithm.
Company
Founded in 2015 and based in Berlin, SearchInk develops a software that recognises hand writing on documents. The startup claims its technology can be used in areas such as data analysis, business processes and research.
