New Science Ventures leads €12m series-B for Zeotap
US venture capital house New Science Ventures has led a €12m series-B round for Berlin-based data management startup Zeotap.
Existing investors Capnamic Ventures and Iris Capital participated in the round alongside New Science and several business angels. Also participating in the round was a mapping and location-dedicated service backed by German automotive companies Audi, BMW and Daimler, named Here.
The company aims to use the fresh capital to expand its sector reach across additional industries. Additionally, the business is keen to expand its engineering and data science team in Bangalore, as well as the business development data, data monetisation and marketing teams in Berlin, New York, Madrid and Milan.
More recently, Zeotap expanded into the Indian market through the launch of Mozeo, a data management team established from the joint venture with the local partner Mogaé Media and based in Bangalore.
Previous funding
In August 2015, the company raised a €5.8m series-A round from Capnamic and Iris.

Founded in 2014, Zeotap develops a software that integrates deterministic data from telecoms operators. The business aims to ease data management for digital advertising firms.
Headquartered in Berlin, the company has offices in New York and Bangalore, with an additional presence in Madrid and Milan.
