Bayern Kapital backs Terraloupe
Bayern Kapital has led a group of investors to invest in a seven-figure second funding round for aerial mapping and geo-data company Terraloupe.
The new capital will be used to build the product platform and expand the business internationally. Terraloupe’s CEO explained in a statement that accurate infrastructure knowledge is not only useful for car manufacturers but also industries like energy and insurance.
Previous funding
In June 2016, Bayern Kapital led a consortium of business angels to provide Terraloupe with seed funding. A statement said the investment would be used to develop and refine the software's algorithm.
Company
Founded in 2015 in Landshut, Terraloupe is a geo-informatics and machine learning software developer. The company uses image recognition software to identify and analyse objects from aerial images.
