
Speedinvest in €2.5m round for Fincompare
VC Speedinvest has joined Austrian insurance group Uniqa Ventures to lead a €2.5m seed round for Berlin-based financial technology company Fincompare.
Business angels and family offices from the banking and finance sectors also invested in the round. Gerrit Seidel and Matthias Sohler of Yabeo Capital joined the board along with Marcus Börner, Kilian Thalhammer, Andre Bajorat and Alex Graubner-Müller.
The fresh capital will be used to develop new technology, hire more staff and boost its marketing efforts.
Company
Fincompare is a digital comparison platform for company financing. It is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with financing needs of more than €10,000. Since its launch in February 2017 it has secured around 400 clients requesting financing volumes of €200m. Fincompare has the services of 200 banks, alternative lenders and financial technology companies listed on its platform. It currently employs 25 people.
