Chequers Capital acquires Emvia Living
Chequers Capital has carved out private nursing home operator Emvia Living from MK-Kliniken for an undisclosed sum.
Chequers drew equity from Chequers Capital XVII, a €1.1bn fund that held a final close in May 2017, to support the transaction.
Ardian Private Debt provided a unitranche facility and an additional committed debt facility to finance the transaction and support further expansion plans.
Chequers said the company's broad and diversified network of individual homes and regional knowledge made it well positioned for further growth.

Emvia Living is a division of MK-Kliniken and has a capacity of 5,500 beds. The nursing home operator is headquartered in Hamburg but has facilities in 12 German federal states. It employs 3,200 people and generates revenues of €200m.
