VC-backed Blacklane raises series-D
Blacklane, a German professional chauffeur service backed by VC firms BtoV Partners and RI Digital Ventures, has announced its largest round to date, led by UAE-based Alfahim.
The value of the round was not disclosed but press reports put it in the range of $40-45m.
Car manufacturer Daimler also took part in the round alongside Alstin, Recruit Holdings, Car4you and Blacklane's founders.
The fresh capital will be used to roll out the product in new cities and develop further airport concierge services. In October 2017, Blacklane acquired US-based airport concierge company Solve.
Previous funding
Blacklane has raised approximately $80m in total over seven funding rounds, according to unquote" data.
BtoV and RI Digital led the first seed round in March 2012 and returned with additional investments in October 2012 and April 2013.
Daimler joined the syndicate in December 2013, committing approximately €10m to the round, and joined another $11m round in August 2016.

Founded in 2011 and based in Berlin, Blacklane connects passengers with professional drivers. The business states corporate and individual customers can book and schedule rides in 50 countries through the website, serving 250 cities and 500 airports. Its corporate partners include Amadeus, Asia Miles, Expedia, Finnair, Hertz and Miles & More.
