LocalGlobe, Atlantic Labs in €1.35m seed round for Covee
VC firms LocalGlobe and Atlantic Labs have taken part in a €1.35m seed funding round for Zurich-based software developer Covee.
The capital will be used to launch in mid-2018 and work towards regulatory approval for their utility token, for which an ICO is planned later this year.
Founder and former hedge fund manager Marcel Dietsch said moving to Switzerland was an important step as it has the oldest and strongest blockchain ecosystem in the world.
Company
Covee was founded in Berlin in 2017 and has now moved to Zurich, where it employs a team of eight people. Former hedge fund manager Marcel Dietsch co-founded the company with ex-Deutsche Bank employee Raphael Schoettler. It develops a blockchain-based platform for decentralised teamwork by matching talents and skills with problems that need solving.
