EQT Ventures leads €6.5m series-A for AnyDesk
EQT Ventures has led a €6.5m series-A funding round for Stuttgart-based remote desktop software developer AnyDesk Software.
Angel investors including Chris Hitchen and Andreas Burike also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to continue product innovation and expand the technical and commercial teams.
EQT Ventures sourced the investment using its in-house deal-sourcing software Motherbrain, which it says uses artificial intelligence to discover promising companies.
The VC firm is currently investing from its €566m EQT Ventures Fund, which held a final close in May 2016.
Company
AnyDesk was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Stuttgart. The company has created a proprietary video codec (DeskRT) for graphical user interfaces, which transmits 60 frames per second with low latency.
