Project A backs €6m funding round for Keatz
German VC firm Project A and Madrid-based K Fund have taken part in a €6m funding round for Berlin-based food delivery company Keatz.
The fresh capital will be used to open new kitchens across Europe, starting with Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Amsterdam and Paris. It currently operates in Berlin, Barcelona and Madrid.
Previous funding
Project A and K Fund took part in a €1.4m seed round for Keatz in June 2017. JME Venture Capital and Atlantic Labs have also backed the company, according to press reports.
Company
Keatz was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Berlin. The company operates kitchens to make food for delivery platforms such as Delivery Hero, UberEats and Deliveroo. It has 10 different food brands which it cooks in its so-called "ghost kitchens" and are available to order for delivery only.
