Aslanoba Capital et al. back Colendi
A consortium of investors has injected $2.5m into Switzerland-based Colendi, a cross-border decentralised credit scoring platform.
Investors include VC firms Aslanoba Capital and Bogazici Ventures, both based in Turkey, as well as UK-based VC Next Ventures.
The round of funding will support general business operations as well as the development of key products, including the Colendi app.
Company
Founded in 2016, Colendi is a blockchain-based, decentralised credit evaluation and microcredit protocol, fully compatible with traditional banking requirements and financing methods. Colendi's credit scoring serves as a bridge between lenders and borrowers, enabling unbanked and under-banked individuals to fully participate in the banking system through microfinancing. The business is based in Zug.
