
VC firms lead $17m series-B for Asana Rebel
Greycroft Partners and EVentures have co-led a $17m series-B funding round for Berlin-based health and fitness startup Asana Rebel.
Existing investors High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), La Famiglia and business angel Florian Huber also took part in the latest financing.
The fresh capital will be used to finance expansion into the US market and hire staff for the product, data and technology teams.
Previous funding
HTGF led a seed round for Asana Rebel (then Asana Yoga) in March 2016, with participation from Florian Huber and other business angels.
EVentures led a $6.5m series-A for the business in January 2018 to expand its team of 35 and implement a management structure.
Company
Asana Rebel is a yoga-focused fitness application developer based in Berlin. The mobile application is available in six languages and was the most downloaded yoga application in 2017, with more than eight million downloads since inception, according to a statement. It was founded in 2015 by Pascal Klein and Robin Pratap.
