
Lightspeed leads series-A for Candis
Lightspeed Venture Partners has led a series-A funding round for German bookkeeping software developer Candis.
Existing investors Point Nine Capital, Speedinvest, Fly Ventures, the Commerzbank incubator and 42Cap all took part in the round.
The value of the investment was not disclosed but it is the first German deal completed by Silicon Valley-based Lightspeed.
The fresh capital will be used for product development and recruitment. Candis is currently recruiting for its marketing, sales, customer services, product and technology teams, according to its website.
Previous funding
Point Nine led a €1m seed round for Candis in 2016 and returned to inject further capital at an undisclosed valuation in January 2017 alongside Speedinvest, Fly Ventures, Commerzbank’s incubator and 42Cap.

Founded in 2015 and based in Berlin, Candis develops accounting and bookkeeping software. The tool automates financial processes for SMEs in Germany.
