HTGF backs Kumovis
High-Tech Gründerfonds has invested in a seed round for medical technology-focused 3D printing company Kumovis.
The value of the financing was not disclosed but was said to be in the seven-figure range. HTGF’s latest investment fund closed on €316.5m in May this year and generally makes initial investments between €1-3m.
An unnamed family office also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to prepare for the market launch of Kumovis’ printers.
Company
Kumovis was founded in 2017 as a spin-out from the Technical University of Munich. The company develops 3D printers for the manufacturing of plastic implants from PEEK and PPSU polymers.
