Idinvest backs €7m series-A for Teleclinic
Idinvest Partners has backed a €7m series-A funding round for Munich-based telemedicine company Teleclinic.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up the business and enter new strategic partnerships in order to make its services available to more patients.
Idinvest said the German healthcare sector is growing at 3.8% annually (considerably faster than its GDP) and is therefore unaffected by economic trends and shocks.
Previous funding
Digital Health Ventures led a €2m seed funding round for Teleclinic in November 2017. Business angels Michael Brehm, Urs Keller, Stefan Wiskemann and Max-Josef Meier also took part in the round.

Teleclinic is a digital health platform based in Munich, Germany. It is a 24/7 medical advice line that employs only doctors with German medical qualifications. Patients can have telephone or video conversations with doctors in order to get medical advice and treatment suggestions. From January, the company plans to offer remote prescriptions as well.
