
HTGF and BitStone invest in Dotscene
High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Bitstone Capital have joined up to invest an undisclosed sum in 3D modelling hardware and software developer Dotscene.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate development, expand infrastructure and increase the company's presence in the market.
HTGF's investment came from High-Tech Gründerfonds III, a venture fund that held its final close in May 2018 on €316.5m. The fund was intended to make initial investments between €1-3m in German technology startups that have been operating for no longer than three years. The vehicle focuses on hardware-related engineering, life sciences, the chemicals industry, material science, software, media and the internet.
Dotscene is BitStone's 10th portfolio company.

Founded in 2016 and based in Freiburg, the company employs 11 people. Dotscene develops hardware and software for the efficient capture of 3D models, with a special focus on mobile 3D laser scanning and mapping for indoor and outdoor environments.
