
LBO France-backed My Media Group bolts on Peak Ace
LBO France's portfolio company, French advertising consultancy My Media Group, has acquired a 51% stake in German competitor Peak Ace.
My Media Group was targeting acquisitions of companies with annual revenues of between €4-10m and a strong growth record, according to a report by Unquote sister publication Mergermarket published in July. The reported added that any acquisitions would be supported by LBO France.
Previous funding
In 2013, French private equity firm Dzeta Conseil bought a majority stake in the company for €20m, and sold it back to the founders and management for €20m in 2015.
The company acquired Synodiance for €12m in 2016.
In June 2018, LBO France bought a 55% stake in My Media Group, drawing capital from its White Knight XI fund. The vehicle closed on €450m in 2017. The deal was reported to value the company at €130m. Debtwire reported that the company was marketed based on an EBITDA of €12m.

Founded in 2007, Peak Ace is a performance marketing agency headquartered in Berlin. With more than 110 employees, it offers services in paid advertising, organic search, content marketing and digital analytics. It counts Airbnb, Sephora and Otto Group as customers.
