Bow Capital leads $10m funding round for ArangoDB
US-based VC Bow Capital has led a $10m funding round for database software provider ArangoDB.
Existing investor Target Partners also participated. This round brings the company's total funds raised to $17m.
Bow Capital adviser Murat Sönmez, former EVP of global field operations at Tibco and now managing director at the World Economic Forum, will join the board of directors.
The company will move its headquarters to the US as it is ArangoDB's fastest-growing market.
The capital will be used to accelerate product development and expand its engineering and sales teams to support its customers based in the US. The company will grow its community support, marketing, human resources and sales teams in Silicon Valley. Software and product development will continue to be based in Cologne, Germany.
Previous funding
ArangoDB raised €1.85m from Machao Holding and an undisclosed investor in 2015.
In 2016, Target Partners backed the company with a €2.2m investment and invested another €2m in 2017.

ArangoDB is now headquartered in the US, but was founded and based in Cologne. The company, founded in 2014, employs 43 people and creates database software.
