Capvis-backed Wer Liefert Was bolts on Gebraucht.de
Capvis portfolio company Wer Liefert Was has wholly acquired second-hand online marketplace operator Gebraucht.de.
The management team and all employees will stay on following the transaction and the company will continue to operate independently.
Wer Liefert Was was acquired by Capvis in 2017 from Paragon Partners. It operates two B2B marketplaces, one under its own brand and another called Europages.
Wer Liefert Was purchased the company partly because of its speciality in developing user-centred platforms and mobile apps with good UX and user engagement, communication functions between buyers and sellers and cloud-based infrastructure and architecture. The company’s IT team will assist in the further development of Wer Liefert Was’ platform and EuroPages.

In September 2018, the company issued a convertible note to Castel Capital.
Germany-based media company WeltN24 and private equity firm Auden were also investors, according to Germany-based publication Gründerszene.
