Triton-backed AVS acquires Lorenz
Triton portfolio company AVS Verkehrssicherung has agreed to acquire building site safety specialist Lorenz.
In 2017, Steadfast Capital sold AVS to Triton Fonds IV, a fund that closed on €3.3bn in 2013. Unquote understands the deal valued the company at €203m.
This acquisition follows AVS's purchase of traffic management service providers Fero Group in June 2019, Traffics in December 2018 and KMK Projekts in August 2018, among several others since the start of Triton's holding period.
While the firm declined to comment on the deal, Nadia Meier-Kirner, partner and co-head of the business services sector at Triton, has previously stated that Triton could finance potential acquisitions with additional capital deployed by its funds, according to Unquote sister publication Mergermarket.
Company
Founded in 1992, Lorenz operates primarily in Mecklenburg and Berlin and is based in Wittstock/Dosse. The company works with state developers, cities and municipalities, as well as private construction companies. It offers road marking and construction site safety services, and employs 30 people.
