
Statkraft Ventures leads €3m series-A for Betterspace
German venture capital investor Statkraft Ventures has led a €3m series-A round for Betterspace, a software provider for hotels and companies in the hospitality sector.
The round also saw participation from InnoEnergy, an existing investor.
Betterspace will use the fresh capital to expand internationally.
Statkraft Ventures is the venture arm of German energy company, Statkraft. It recently participated in a round for Zolar, a solar panel retail company for residential properties. The VC focuses on companies in the energy sector, generally acting as the lead investor and committing tickets of €500,000-4m per deal.

Betterspace produces software for hotels and companies in the hospitality sector that aims to streamline companies' operations and their communications with guests, as well as providing systems for smart heating in hotel rooms. The group currently has more than 700 customers across 10 countries.
Founded in 2014, the company is based in Ilmenau, Thüringen, and also has offices in Salzburg and Kassel. It has 28 employees, according to LinkedIn.
