
Telemos-backed Sanoptis buys AugenAllianz
Sanoptis, a portfolio company of Telemos Capital, has acquired Germany-based ophthalmology clinic chain AugenAllianz-Zentren as part of its buy-and-build strategy.
Sanoptis recently secured financing from Barings Private Finance and Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank to support its buy-and-build strategy.
In May 2019, Sanoptis acquired NordBlick, a German chain of ophthalmology clinics made up of NordBlick Augenklinik Bellevue, NordBlick and NordBlick Immobilien. The group has clinics in 14 locations and has 245 employees, according to its website.
The GP acquired Berlin-based Sanoptis in July 2019 for an undisclosed amount, stating that it planned to pursue a buy-and-build strategy in the ophthalmology sector. Sanoptis has 500 employees and has two ophthalmology hospitals in Germany, with more than 80 outpatient facilities in Germany and Switzerland.
