Omnes backs Opportunity LBO
Omnes has bought a majority stake in France-based customer interaction software developer Opportunity.
The LBO was completed via the spin-off of Opportunity from Vocalcom Group, a portfolio company of France-based Apax Partners. The deal was sourced via a competitive auction process led by Cambon Partners, which Omnes pre-empted.
The company aims to strengthen its sales base in France and increase its presence in Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, Africa and the Middle East, according to a statement.
Omnes deployed equity from Omnes Expansion III, which held an interim close in July 2019 on €105m. Opportunity is the fourth deal from the fund, according to a statement, which also said that the fund is 30% deployed and has raised €105m to date.
The enterprise value was more than €25m, according to a spokesperson for Omnes.
MACSF, an LP in Omnes Investment 3, co-invested alongside Omnes.
A spokesperson for Omnes told Unquote that Andera provided mezzanine debt for the deal. Caisse d'Epargne, LCL and Banque Populaire Rives de Paris provided a senior loan package.
Apax Partners acquired a 65% stake in Vocalcom in May 2011 via Apax France VIII, which held a final close in June 2011 on €700m. Apax used no debt for the deal.
Company
Opportunity was founded in 2005 by Anthony Dinis. It provides software for customer interaction management, allowing businesses to personalise their interactions with customers. It targets companies in the B2C debt recovery market.
The company aimed to achieve turnover of €9m in 2019. It has a headcount of 22 and is based in Paris and Nantes.
