DBAG-backed STG to buy majority stake in IMD
STG Braunsberg, a portfolio company of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), is to acquire a majority stake in construction company IMD, according to a filing with the German competition authority.
A spokesperson for DBAG told Unquote that the deal will be financed by STG and its acquisition facility, without additional equity from DBAG.
The spokesperson added that IMD is the third add-on acquisition for the group. There are currently no new add-ons planned, but further acquisitions would not be ruled out, they added.
DBAG bought a majority stake in STG in September 2019, investing via DBAG Expansion Capital Fund, which held a final close on €242m in June 2011. The GP holds a majority stake in the business combining the investments from its balance sheet and the fund.
