Bayern Kapital, Main Incubator back seed round for Scompler
Bayern Kapital, the venture capital arm of the German federal state of Bavaria, has backed a seed round for marketing software company Scompler, along with Main Incubator, the venture capital investment arm of Commerzbank.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to develop its software platform further, including the integration of media monitoring and analysis tools.
Bayern Kapital currently manages 11 funds and focuses on investments in sectors including IT, nanotechnology and environmental technology. The firm generally invests €250,000-€600,000 and can invest up to €2m in co-investments.
Company
Scompler provides marketing and content management software for businesses, comprising tools to help them plan their strategy, as well as to produce, distribute and analyse their content. According to its website, its client base includes Deutsche Bahn, Nestlé and the Techniker Krankenkasse.
The company was founded in 2015 and has 30 employees. It is based in Munich. Scompler generates revenues of $4m, according to ZoomInfo.
