
Omers leads £6m series-A for Vara
Omers Ventures has led a £6m series-A funding round for Vara, a Berlin-based breast cancer screening software developer.
The round also saw participation from Merantix, Think.Health, Soleria Capital, and Plug and Play.
Omers Ventures associate director Bryony Marshall will join the board.
Previous funding
Vara was initially backed by the Berlin-based venture capital firm Merantix.
To date, the company has raised €9.5m.

Vara, formerly known as Merantix Healthcare, was founded in 2018 by Jonas Muff and Hasso- Stefan Bunk. Its AI-powered screening software helps radiologists focus on detecting cancers in mammograms. The company's team of 25 medical specialists, engineers and entrepreneurs is based in Berlin.
